Q: So, I'll start off by saying that I pierced my own ear. Now for the people that read that and want to yell at me... feel free.. but I must say that I have really bad depression and I did it as an act of self injury... I wasn't thinking about the consequences. I am getting help for the depression.. so please don't suggest I seek help... I need to know what I can do to decrease the swelling and pain in my ear... I kept an earring in it... and I want to keep it in... because now it's like a scar to remember how stupid I was... that sounds really lame when I see it typed out... but.... none-the-less... can anyone please give me some tips? Thanks!
A: I'd use peroxide and Neosporin... worked on my infected cartilage piercing. The professional piercers always tell you not to use those things, but whatever. It works. Also, try Ibuprofen for the swelling. If at all possible, try to get to the doctor for some antibiotics.
