Help with energy crisis!!?

Q: I have already asked this before(with 0 answers)but I'm going to ask again, what can I do about my energy crisis?! I have had some test done(like thyroid)among others(not sure what they were)but everything came back normal.I'm taking prescription painkillers(weak narcotics)for back pain and I'm taking more than prescribed to get some energy too.I know that's bad and I feel bad about that but what can I do?I don't know what to do.Is there something I can take for energy, that's good for me?I have tried the energy drinks and the caffeine pills but those do not work.I know I have a problem with the pain meds so please do not lecture me,I know I need help for that.I have been without energy way before I started taking pain meds so I don't think its from withdrawals.I have 3 kids to take care of!!What can I do??Thanks! Ok,some of you asked for more details so I will try to keep this short.I do not exercise much because I usually do not have the energy to do so.I am not overweight,Im at the suggested weight for my height.I sleep ok,sometimes.I have recently had my blood taken, that level was normal.I drink sodas, tea, coffee and water.I do not smoke,I drink occasionally, not often.I eat ok I guess, probably could eat a lttle better.I have taken multi-vitamins before but I didnt notice a difference.I am not breatfeeding.I thank everybody for all the help.Keep them coming!! Btw,I am 32 yrs.old.Thanks Zoe and everybody else! And Zoe,I do not have those symptons. My sister thinks she has the CFS,but I dont think shes been diagnosed.Does that syndrome run in families? Thanks

A: Hi, no lecture ok !! been here, got the t-shirt. I don't know how old you are ..may be hormonal, do you have very weak muscles/weight loss/nausea/sun tan but havent been in the sun ?..or chronic fatigue syndrome/M.E.. This condition really hard to diagnose and the med guys tend to eliminate everything else it could be first. A couple of the most excellent books are ' living well with autoimmune disease' by mary shomon and 'from fatigued to fantastic' by jacob teitelbaum....or 'beat fatigue workbook' by leon chatow. These give excelent nutritional programmes, along with life style changes and vitamin/mineral supplements.....I don't need to tell you to come off the painkillers, but this is your body saying it NEEDS REST NOW !! if you ignore it, it will probably get worse. with 3 kids, tough one to carry out, but maybe partner/parents/parents in law/friends can help ?. If you are still not right, go back and demand more tests....thyroid problems are very complex and you may need to see an endocrinologist. It's hard, but please don't feel guilty...being a mum is tough enough when you are 100% well blessings Zoe x :o)
