Q: For the past few months, I've been getting moderate-severe nausea, especially at night. I thought that it was just anxiety about going to a new school, but now I've adjusted pretty well and the nausea is still there. My doctor put me on Zoloft for the anxiety, and it's helped a little I guess, but not much. It gets really bad at night and whenever I eat something. The thing is, when I don't eat I get nauseous - then I feel better for about 10 seconds after/during eating and then I get nauseous for hours. It's horrible...does anyone have any idea about what might be wrong with me? Thank you so much!

A: Your doctor should test you for the following conditions: 1) Hypochlorhydria 2) Celiac Disease 3) Food allergies/intolerances 4) Gall-bladder dysfunction 5) etc, etc. It may be wise to find a doctor that will work with you to find and fix the CAUSE of your symptoms, rather than trying to mask your symptoms with dangerous drugs. Best wishes and good luck.
