is it possible to have a fever of 116 degrees F.? ?

Q: whats the highest fever you can get? haha no i was jus curious but i do have a very low fever :( Mummbles: thanks :)

A: Seems like I read somewhere that some people who had been found near death stranded in the desert had incredibly high body temperatures, but they had to pack them in ice right away before their brain was damaged to death. You may find it if you Google search "highest human body temperature recorded". As for fevers they serve a purpose. I believe in and use homeopathic medicine and the human body has the ability to jack up its own temperature for a reason. Many viruses and disease organisms die when the temperature of the bloodstream goes over 102-103, and even the worst are mostly killed when the temp goes above that. However extremely high fevers can kill. But it's the built-in disease-fighting reflex of the miracle machine human body to use fever to throw off sickness. Sometimes doctors put too much emphasis on reducing fever and that gives the virus or infection a better chance to get worse. Try this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperthermia OK the Guinness Book Of World Records lists a man named Willie Jones had the highest body temp ever recorded for a person who survived, 115.7. He had a heat stroke and was in the hospital for 24 days, but recovered completely.
