Q: Hi, so right now I'm 13, I'm 5'3, and I got my period 2 years ago. It's really irregular (if that makes a difference) sometimes it comes like 4 -5-6 times a year only. ok, so My dad is 6'1. mom is 5'0. sister is 5'6-7. Well i HATE my height. I hate being short, it just bothers me. My doctor said a while ago when I was only 5'2 that I could grow to be 5'4. But I've only grown 2 inches since my period, so whats up?! Am I going to grow anymore, or am I going to be stuck at 5'3 forever :( Thanks people :)
A: Girls usually stop growing at 15 and sometimes there is no further growth 2 or 3 years after your first period. It is unlikely that you will be stuck at 5'3 and most likely you will peak at 5'5 at 15 but nothing is certain until it actually happens. Probably 5'4 would be your minimum peak height and 5'5 would be your maximum peak height.
