is it because of anemia?

Q: im vegan, and I don't take vitamins daily, my schedule just gets waay too hectic to remember. I drink emergen-c's multiple times a day.but I don't always get to eat as much as I should. I've had to take iron pills in the past because im anemic, and for the past 2 months or so EVERY time I stand up my vision gets blurry&fades to black for about 2 seconds. even if I stand up slow. can anyone PLEASE help?

A: Okay. . . .FIRST OF ALL. . . .I DON'T think it's anything SERIOUS. And since you have had to take "iron" pills in the past, that means you must be low in iron. If you're still menstruating, that's entirely possible. If you're menopausal, I WOULDN'T recommend iron pills. Taking a "daily" quality multiple vitamin could markedly IMPROVE your condition. The body has a "funny" way of letting us know we NEED something. Listen to it and "feed" it accordingly. Since I, myself, have been helped measurably taking vitamins, I HIGHLY recommend you getting into a "routine" that helps you to REMEMBER to take it; like with your breakfast every morning. If you have time to eat. . . .you have 5 more seconds to take your daily vitamin. And if your schedule is THAT "hectic" then you HAVE to incorporate it . . . .SOMEWHERE. . . .in it; lest your body gives up. . .altogether !!!! SERIOUSLY ! Having a yearly check-up with your doctor couldn't hurt, either. Remember to discuss these things with him/her. Even the smallest "complaints" might be something important for them to know !
